History

The 1st MCAS was International Multidisciplinary Conference of Applied Sciences (MCAS) was hosted by Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang (PNUP), providing a premier platform for researchers to share their latest findings. At this conference, five speakers from various countries presented their work. Dr. Beny Bandanadjaja, S.T., M.T., the Academic Director of Vocational Higher Education from Indonesia, delivered the keynote address. Additionally, two speakers from Malaysia, Assc. Prof. Ahmad Sabirin Zoolfakar from Universiti Teknologi MARA, who spoke on Nanoscale Metal Oxides, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sakinah Mohd Shukri from Management and Science University, who discussed Business and Environment, contributed to the conference. The event also featured a presentation by Assoc. Prof. Naksit Panyoyai (Chiang Mai Rajabhat University) from Thailand addressed Value Chain Innovation in Agroforestry, and Prof. Ahmed Abu-Siada, Ph.D. from Curtin University, Australia, discussed Power Systems and Renewable Energy.

The conferences held in Makassar (Indonesia), revolved around the theme of Applied Sciences for a Sustainable Earth and Environment. There were approximately 400 participants and 86 accepted papers.

The 2nd MCAS raised the theme of Synergizing Research and Innovation for Mitigating Climate Change. The topics are (1) Mechanical Engineering, Material and Energy, (2) Robotics, Control, and Artificial Intelligence, (3) Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, (4) Civil Engineering, (5) Management and Urban Planning, (6) Agriculture and Chemical Processing Technology.

This year, The 3rd MCAS raised the theme of Driving Circular Economy and Sustainability through Innovative Technologies. The topics are (1) Mechanical Engineering, Material and Energy, (2) Robotics, Control, and Artificial Intelligence, (3) Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, (4) Civil Engineering and Urban Planning, (5) Agriculture and Chemical Processing Technology, (6) Industrial and Logistics Engineering, (7) Business and Education Technology.
